Plump with notes of red apple flowing into delightful swirls of milk chocolate and orange, get ready for a delicious espresso. A subgroup of the Asociación de Cooperación al Desarrollo Integral de Huehuetenango (ACODIHUE), Red de Mujeres represents a network of women from the San Antonio Huista area. Uplifting vulnerable communities through finding ways of combatting extreme poverty and food insecurity, ACODIHUE train agricultural practices and also offers social, environmental and economic services. Training communities on everything from organic coffee farming methods, including pest control all the way through to producing and applying fertilizers has shown incredible results for the farmers and speciality sector of Guatemala.
More good news, we're gonna be running this coffee as our house espresso offering in the coming weeks. We're definitely taking a hit on this one money wise, but the social initiative is worth the revenue hit for us! We're also just psyched to put a banger Guatemalan coffee on espresso again.
